Brad Pitt clears Up The Mystery Of His Limp

Although there paraded the likes of George Clooney and Tom Hanks, the only thing that mattered on the Red Carpet Film Festival Palm Springs this weekend was the reason for the limp and cane worn by Brad Pitt. The reason, after several days of speculation in the American press was an accident when the actor of 48 years carrying one of his daughters.

Pitt, who attended the festival to receive an award for his work in 'Moneyball' and 'The Tree of Life', clarified that there was a skiing accident, as he said, but a fall while holding his daughter Vivienne. "It was her or me," the actor told reporters at the famous town in the Californian desert.

Despite being a knee injury, Pitt said he hoped not to have to go under the knife, just at a time that likely will be starring in the major awards of the season as the Golden Globes and the Oscars.

The Oklahoma came from the hand of his wife, Angelina Jolie, who has also enjoyed international attention with his debut behind the camera with 'In the Land of Blood and Honey'. The actress also said it was "too shy" to qualify as a director and screenwriter, "but I moved to work on something that matters to me," he said.

All this amid rumors about a possible extension of the family, after stating in an interview that is open to a new pregnancy. Pitt and Jolie, couples since early 2005 when he shot 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith ', have six children, three of them adopted.
